Lent

We are very grateful for the collections schools and churches arrange for us during Lent. They are vital to the continued operation of the Foodbank.

Shopping list

We have a shopping list on our website that is kept up to date with the things we need most:

https://www.redhillfoodbank.org.uk/shopping-list

Please refer to this if you want to identify particular items for people to donate or ask them to take a look themselves.

Please note that we plan to close on Good Friday (29th March) & Easter Monday (1st April) so donations cannot be made on these days.

Unfortunately, we cannot take perishable food, out-of-date food, alcohol, medicines, or nappies.

Donations

  • Donations need to be delivered to the portacabins beside the Church Hall, behind St. Matthew’s Church, preferably Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, between 12noon and 1.30pm

  • We share the Church Hall with St. Matthew’s Pre-School and need to manage the number of people congregating at the entrance – in particular around the times that children are dropped off/collected.

  • Large donations must be booked in for delivery so that we can manage the number of people arriving at key times – please contact us to do this.

  • We have limited resources available to collect donations but if you need this, please contact us to make arrangements.
