Food is a basic need, yet there are people in Redhill who are going hungry because they just don’t have enough money to feed themselves and their families.

How can this happen? More easily than you think:

  • benefit delay

  • redundancy

  • sudden illness

  • an unexpected bill

  • bereavement

  • income too low to make ends meet

This is where the Foodbank at
St Matthew’s
can help. We aim to provide local families and individuals with essential food supplies to keep them going until a longer term solution is found.

Volunteers Needed

We are looking for one or two new volunteers to help us manage and sort our stock of food.  This involves lifting and moving many boxes, some of which can be quite heavy.  If you are up for the challenge please contact us at

Spring Bank Holiday - Please note that we will be closed on Monday 27th May - if you would normally collect or donate on that Monday please do so either the previous Friday or the following Wednesday.
